Appearance: Pours a clear burnt orange with a thin head that quickly fades to a ringlet and archipelago; squiggles of lacing

Smell: Tart and sweet raspberry tones with some funk

Taste: Sweet raspberry and plum flavors forward with the tart side developing; somewhat funky, in the middle, with the oak emerging in the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with low to moderate carbonation; somewhat puckery

Overall: A very nice use of raspberries in a fruited wild from a brewery that deserves more recognition

The beer is a bit hazy and pinkish purple with a slightly pink head. The aroma is brett and funky with underlying sweetness and some raspberries. There is a little bit of band aid in there that is probably from the brett. Tastes sweet for a split second and then the brett kicks in to give it a quite sour and funky taste. the mild sweetness and raspberries come out in the finish. Nicely carbonated with a medium to light mouthfeel. This is a pretty tasty beer.

Received in a trade and shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy berry hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light wisps and a thin blanket.

S - Aromas of nice bright seedy raspberry notes, fruity jam, light barrel. The raspberry is phenomenal.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with phenomenal raspberry flavour, seedy jam, raspberry fruit and candies.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, little sharp, lightly flemmy.

O - Overall this was a very solid fruited beer. The raspberry is just incredible!
