Poured out a clear, bubbly golden color with a large, white head of foam. It smelled of yeastiness, spices and floral notes. Sweet caramel flavor with a tart kick. A nice phenolic finish.

Clear gold colour. Smells like tart juicy white grapes, dry sauvignon blanc, tangerine, and green apple. Tart and dry, distinctive white wine body, green apple skin, apricot, belgian yeasts, bit of yeast spice, and a bit of earthy funk on the finish.

I think I liked this at a rate above the current mean. I had it on tap at the new Hy-Vee restaurant in Austin, MN. It is a little sweeter and a little more body than many and also was not as dry as most, but I found that appealing. Nice spicing in aroma and taste, but a little more malt forward than some and low on hopping overall. Blended well with the food. Not distracting at all. I'd buy it again.

Lakes and Legends Harmony Farm pours a murky dark orange color. There is no head, and no lacing. This is a really ugly and unappealing looking beer. The aroma has some nice coriander, and spice to it, but lacks the barnyardy, leathery things that are usually found in a saison. It is still quite pleasant though. The taste is similar to the aroma, but much lighter...much, much lighter. The finish is nonexistent. The mouthfeel is watery and thin with almost no carbonation. Overall, this is another miss from Lakes and Legends. This seems to be the recurring theme running through my experiences with this young brewery.

This does a lot right, but there's too much apple ester in the aroma and flavor. There's a mild spicy and earthy character in the background that should step up, but there is a fine, crisp body. I'd try this again in a year.

a good and quite unique take on the saison style. its a little cleaner than most, rather clear in appearance, orange colored, brassy rather, high luster, most of an inch of lasting frothy white head. the nose here is interesting, yeast driven almost entirely, sort of that french and belgian saison yeast hybrid that is coming into vogue lately, less rustic than others, but nice with the fruitiness it provides, white grape and apple notes, apricot and lemongrass, it makes it quite summery. less of the grain than i like in the style, even though there is something a little more crystal heavy for this color and body, it just doesnt have that white wheat malt element i think the style needs. its somehow delicate for what it is, yeasty in a unique way, notes of honey and grassy hops as it winds down. supercharged carbonation is a nice feature, very drinkable and one of the lower abv brews they had in house when i was there. this would serve as a great base beer for some chard barrels, maybe a brett pitch, even a fruited edition, its a versatile launch pad that i am sure these guys will use brilliantly when the time comes. loved lakes and legends!

L: A 12 oz bottle pours hazy tea tinted amber with a quickly disappearing ½” off-white foam cap.
S: Fruit, ripe fruit, spice, some wet meadow, floral, tropical fruit.
T: Tropical fruit, yeast flavors, apricot, some malt flavors, finishes with an assertive hop bitterness.
F: Medium to medium light body, medium carbonation.
O: A fruity, refreshing saison.

At the tap room, into a tulip, nice wispy 1 finger white head on top of a darkish cinnamon amber. Lots of pepper and some hearty bread, as well as some heavier/sweet floral notes. Taste follows but is more compelling, bringing a little more yeast into play, a little bubblegum, and some clover notes...this one doesn't skimp on the pepper. Everything comes together fairly well at the end. Mouthful might be the best thing about this one...full and substantial body, but nice liveliness, even though it is only in the medium range for carbonation. This is pretty rustic and hearty for the style...not a lot of sweetness, even though the floral notes might lead one to expect it; it doesn't have a ton of depth or subtlety, but it seemed well made, the mouthful was nice, and I wasn't disappointed I ordered it.
