Poured from the can into a Libbey style pilsner glass.
Hints at some slight haze, but has a wonderful lemon straw glowing body color. Large amounts of linear carbonation, nearly bordering on soda pop but just less enough, and slow enough to stay with some beer attitude. Bright white two finger head, kind of soupy and a big bubbled crown collar and puck.
Large malt aroma. Big hints of dry bread, very cracker like, and dare I say it crisp like a sense of potato chips. Mild sense of malt sweetness as well, not much hop character, but also clean and classic. Big bold and dense.
The palate moves forward nicely as anticipated. Still lots of crackery dryness, in fact almost too dry. Body gets a bit weak with just a little excessive carbonation flattening the malt profile. Still much of the bakery and crispness clean flavor is undeniable. Light hinting herbal on the finish, with a bit of malt sugar as well.
Pretty decent light lager. Some minor tweaking and I think his could be exceptional.

I think I passed by this brewery last weekend out in MoCo's hinterlands so it is ironic that I try my first beer with them shortly afterwards. Bright body, puffy head, and sweet grain notes in the nose start this off positive. A little more dry in the initial taste but some late sweetness kind of evens this out. Very earthy and herbal in the noble hops. Solid effort, I'd like to try it on tap.

This one is quite a solid Pilsner. Flavorful and aromatic with no bitterness and a slick mouthfeel.

Except for the chill haze, looks like a pilsner should: straw colored, fluffy white head, good retention and lace.
Smells like pils malt and a little bit of noblish hops
Refreshing! Pils malt takes the lead, followed by herbal and slightly citrusy hops, crisp finish.
Light bodied and just a little less carbonated than I like in the style.
If it weren't so expensive, I'd crush 'em this summer.

Sampled from a growler, hand-carried by N&E (Thank you!) who said their visit to the brewery and farm was a wonderful experience. Good Pilsners are hard to come by. Imported, they're often skunky; and craft pilsners tend to be somewhat heavy and sweet. This Pilsner (named after Phil, the brewer) turned out to be one of the best of the style I've ever had. Bright gold in the glass, with tiny bubbles; soft short head. Instant malt and subtle hops in the nose, with a refreshing crispness and hops flavor upon first taste. It went down easily and, had I not been sharing the growler with a number of thirsty family members, I could easily have enjoyed more than I got. Can't wait to go check it out myself.
