3.57/5: Really nice blonde ale that offers both a distinct honeyed sweetness with just a subtle kiss of jalapenos; not overbearing at all in terms of heat

Poured from the can into a nonik pint glass. Brewed July 28th 2020. Canned August 18th 2020.
Rich rocky head, reaching a high tall three fingers and off white color. Settles like an elevator, going down nicely at one level at a time. Body is a nice dark golden brass. Hints slightly orange in the darker parts with lots of clarity. Very nice looking beer.
Very nice aroma. Mild sense of chile, fairly young and green with no roasted character. Quite a noticeable sweetness, hinting caramel malt but also a light touch of honey like quality too.
Surprising palate. There's a real nice mouthfeel going on here, of rich caramel quality, adds a nice sweetness with a touch of fruity ester. Green chile slightly but virtually no heat in the mid palate. Aftertaste hits with real rich thickness of caramel and minimal sweetness. Lots of pepper oil, but minimal heat. Takes quite some time for the warmth of the chile to come out on this one, which is a real nice surprise.
Real nice take on a chile beer. There really is more of a taste of the peppers flesh than it's heat which makes for a real wonderful experience. Even non chile heads could dig this.
