Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Intensely bright, and crystal beaming clear body. Bright brass lemon yellow, with light touches of rising fine carbonation. Bright even more so bleach white head, easily three fingers with clumpy retention and big staying power. Very aggressive and light looking IPA.
Nice pleasant classic aroma. Soft pine and mild hop sweetness of earth on the nose. Touches mild citrus orange to lemon quality as well, with oily citrus zest. Has a real nice perfume and pleasant aromatics. Great aroma and old school nice'ness' one could say.
Palate sticks to basics. Light bodied with a touch of almost crackery bready malt, then the hops kick in on first sip. Lingering soft lemon oil and earthy light bitterness hit the mid palate real nicely. Finishes peppery and slightly dry with an excellent green herb quality. Light malts don't add much character but that's ok as the hop angle is very pleasant and easily supported by a simple depth and backbone.
Good classic IPA, maybe even could be better in the old school way too?! This one is a good refresher.

My can says 4% ABV, so I'm guessing this is a different iteration of the beer from what was originally added.
Slightly hazy straw, thin white head, retention and lace aren't much to speak of
Smells of true 'Merican hops! Black currant, grapefruit, and pine.
Tastes like it smells, just in a different order: Grapefruit, currant, pine, plus a raw flour undercurrent. A little harsh on the finish.
Medium light body with appropriate carbonation.
So much in your face flavor for the ABV. I just wish it were smoother.

OMG, a sessionable IPA!
Update: first beer of the second four pack I purchased is much more bitter and dry than the first. Probably a QC issue; seems to be more hop residue than the last cans I had.
