Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Real impeccable clarity on the body, a good brass orange and medium amber color, with some very nice fine carbonation. Head creation manages a good solid three fingers with some decent retention, but hints a little soapy and light. A good off white color as well for the head, but bubbles large and slowly sinks.
Aroma is nice but a bit odd. Sort of a touch between lemon but more perfume and soap like smelling for a hop angle. Nice simple light caramel action, provides a contrasting sweetness. There's some zesty oily character in here also but just barely squeaking out.
Palate is a bit interesting but also continues some of the oddity. Considerably more of a fruit character than what the nose hints at. However, the added actual lemon and zesty quality comes more so from the added ingredients than any hop accentuated classic IPA flavor. Halfway decent mouthfeel but comes with a bit of slight chalky and grainy mouthfeel and finishing flavor. Not much chewy depth to this either.
A drinkable IPA but is lacking on execution.
