Poured from the can into a large snifter.
Nutty hazelnut creamy topped head, with a light tan appearance that settles to a whipped up like half finger height. Body color is actually somewhat clear to the light with a dark brownish red walnut color, and a hint of see through appearances.
Very fruity sensing nose. Hints almost prune like, to plum wine sensing. Hints at a little wet body perhaps with not much wood character. Not much hinting roast or char either but pleasant at least.
Palate seems to continue the hints provided by the nose. Light bodied even for a stout, but pleasant in feel. Doesn't wash away too quickly but continues a lighter plum to raisin quality. Low hinting heat, but touches a bit of whiskey fruity warmth slightly but misses on some of the dark malt classic flavors.
A simple sipper for a barrel aged stout.
