Poured from a 12 oz mini keg into a handy tall Hefeweizen glass.
Dark amber brown in color with a thick creamy head. Lacing is sparse, but the remnants of the head are lasting.
Nose is malty, and of toasted grains. The taste is of mildly sweet caramelized toasted malt, with hints of vanilla and toffee, subtle chocolate and coffee flavors as well.
This brew is smooth and goes down easy and doesn’t disappoint the tongue, a very nice schwarzbier.

Poured from the can into a pokal style glass.
Very deep and burnt red body color, looking nearly mahogany brown with quite a bit of clarity. Head is a light tan, making a simple two fingers, that will settle to a nice good sized collar.
Aroma hits of a very nice light coffee, and nice lightly airy toasted grains. Hints a faint caramel sweetness with more roast quality than toffee. Basic but very solid and clean, what you want in a Schwarzbier.
Palate really hits the mark. Light and crisp palate with a big malt backbone of flavor. The first sip fills the mid palate with an excellent sense of crispy waffery chocolate, and touches of light caramel. Back palate finishes exceptionally clean, with even a steely kick slightly, with some popping vanilla and even hazelnut like sweetness. Tongue lashing and even almost hints of a dessert like flavor but not going exceptionally sweet. Crackling grains with a touch of faint roast as well to stay balanced.
This is an extremely well made schwarzbier very impressed by it.

"Dark German lager with a hint of roasted barley on the finish finish."
A solid, true-to-style schwarzbier. Roasty with notes of cocoa, coffee, and vanilla. Nice mouthfeel for a schwarzbier which could be due to the slightly higher abv.
