Poured from the can into a pokal glass.
Deep copper red to a nice orange colored body. Fairly clear as well, with a nice light khaki two finger colored head that lasts a little while, and settles to a nice crowned collar. Very beautiful looking beer.
This has a real nice aroma, with the right touch of booze. Thick sensing caramel with a wash of big hot rum in the mix. Doesn't come off with a good quality sensing rum, but a decent one. Hits small molasses like sugars, and a good light character.
Palate just sings. Creamy and mellow flavor, but with a simple light body. Large flavors of distinct rum all over, touches a hair of wood and light sugars. Mellow sense of toffee on the finish with more rum and booze but not overly hot or boozy tasting amazingly enough. Crisp sensing caramel as well, with these wonderful rum like sugars
This might be the best rum tasting beer I have ever had. So easy drinking even at 5% how is this even done? Very impressed.
