Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass.
Nice fluffy topped bright white head with quite a bit of retention. Reaches a solid three fingers, not much more, and a styrofoam like cap look on top. Body is fairly clear with a beautiful dark brass shine to it as well. Nearly crystal clear, there's the odd random bubble that does show up as well but visible carbonation is nearly non existent.
Aroma doesn't give much of specialty or cream ale character at first but the beer really opens up in a short time. Faint hints of cookie dough and vanilla, a touch of fruity ale ester maybe but also sprinkled sugar. Not much cinnamon on the nose but a good vanilla base that seems inviting on the nose.
Palate manages quite a combination. Cookie dough sprinkled with a mid palate that is quite dry. Mid palate has a real vanilla cookie quality, but it also brings this very parched dry flour and barley flavor along with it. Just a hair wet in body and mouthfeel too unfortunately, making the flavors just not that long lasting. Aftertaste brings more of a dry brown flour grain strangely, with just a light touch of sweetness and no cinnamon.
This is a great concept, and it's got some really good flavors it just needs some tweaking I think which would make it considerably better.
