Poured from the can into a nonic(k) pint glass.
Slightly dark muddy brown, with a faint hint rust like red. Looks a bit hazy, with a faint tan two finger head with little retention. Mananges a thin but noticeable collar when subsiding.
Quite a nice aroma. Truly chocolate and orange with a hint of husky grain and slight char roast character. Does have that classic box candy milk chocolate and orange note which is nice with a mild sweetness too.
Palate seem to tick the right boxes. Light touches of sweetness but more focus on classic mild flavors. Flirts with a wet mouthfeel but does stay in the mild range with a good flavor. Light touches of shaved milk chocolate, the orange character is more towards light juice and not as sweet, almost like a thick pulp flavor which is a nice change. Finishes with a little bit of roast as well.
Nice take on a flavored mild, abv is a bit high for one, but still makes a good tasting beer.
