Poured from the can into a nonic(k) pint glass.
Hazed brass gold, with a hint of pale bronze highlights. Fluffy topped two finger tall white light foamed color, with almost a nitrous look. Quite a bit of lively but controlled carbonation.
Fun aroma. Toasted almond with an excellent corn sweetness that goes really well together. Vanilla hinting with a touch of honey and nougat sticky caramel to go along with it. Very well put together and aptly described.
Palate brings a lot and nicely presented. Soft bodied with a touch of vanilla sweetness on first sip, follwed by toasty almond. Mild vanilla and a real good sweet caramel and honey finish with a touch of carbonated and bitter hop bite for balance. Excellent texture with a lively bit of playful carbonation in the mouthfeel that makes for an almost cream soda experience.
Definitely still cream ale, but the nut and sweetness angle is very dialed in making for a wonderful experience.
