Hazy and pale golden body; dense and creamy white head; lacing along the glass. Caramel malt sweetness on the nose with fruity esters zinging about; peachy. Very grainy, very malty taste with some interesting combinations of fruity esters and mild phenol hints; bitter. Heavy mouthfeel, stiff and sticky.
The bottle label lists juniper berries, angelica root, quinine, lemon and lime zest in the ingredients list. There is a definite presence of the juniper and zests along with some bitterness from the quinine. Perhaps the angelica root will help ward off evil spirits although I'm not sure what it adds taste-wise. Anyway, a decent little brew wrapping up some bitterness and citrus tartness within a rather bold malt sweetness. Interesting...
