Clear, somewhat dark honey amber body; thick and lasting head with sticky sheets of foam clinging to the glass. Warm, toasted grain aroma; some esters; dull, subtle suggestion of orange and peach. Fairly fruity taste with a strong bitter aftertaste; low-key malt presence; a bit of raw alcohol. Heavy body yet somewhat fizzy on the palate; a dry sweetness permeates the mouthfeel.
The looks and aroma are very promising, but the taste and mouthfeel don't measure up. The flavor especially tilts towards the fruity side with a a kind of cola-like taste lurking in the background. A stronger, smoother toasted grain presence would be nice. One of 35 bottles produced.
