Pours a slightly clouded golden color with a huge, spongy head.
Smells of flowery honey, rose hip and unripe tangerine, leading to a fruity, unusual Pilsner aroma.
Has a soft, gently carbonated tartness to it, making this utmost refreshing from start till the end.
Tastes of crackers, blood oranges and earthy tomatoes, featuring a light, well working barnyard quality. The unexpected, thirst quenching, leathery, soft sourness of the beer makes it surprisingly complex, offering flavors of high quality olives, matured, spicy hops, and lime rind among blue cheese. Finishes soft and creamy, with a gentle mushroom note, dried hay and a drop of honey.
Its hard to find anything Pilsner in this, at the same time this is a beautiful Saison with a well working funkiness and complexity to it.
