New York Hazy IPA dry hopped with 100% Michigan Copper hops.
After being imprisoned by the US Govt for disrupting a dubious (at best) oil and gas auction, Tim DeChristopher wrote "What one person can do is to plant the seeds of love and outrage in the hearts of a movement. And if those hearts are fertile ground, those seeds of love and outrage will grow into a revolution." This statement resonates with the craft beer movement and what we are trying to accomplish in bringing handcrafted flavorful beers to an often flavorless world. This ale is truly an American IPA with dankest of intentions. We plant the seeds that grow up into the aroma and flavor that smack you up side the head. This resinous ale is highly hopped but shows a restrained bitterness and lets the hops shine through in aroma and flavor. Seeds of Love and Outrage is the hoppiest of the main line and is ready to take the craft beer revolution head on. To learn more about Tim, check out his non-profit Peaceful Uprising.

Strong Rope Brewery "Seeds Of Love And Outrage"
16 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
Notes via stream of consciousness: Labeled at 7% ABV. Nice graphics by Caleb Freese. A rough pour has brought up a 3/4" tall head of rocky off-white foam atop a very hazy deep amber colored body. The aroma is grainy, biscuity, woody, and spicy. It's not really that bright but you can easily pick up everything that I've mentioned. The flavor follows but with some additional character. The malt is grainy, bready, biscuity, honeyish, and a touch wheaty. The hops remain woody and spicy, unless of course they're using rye in the grain bill but I don't think so. It's also herbal, gently piney, softly floral, and lightly citrusy with orange, apricot, and sweet apple. A firm bitterness balances it and it finishes dry, herbal, woody, and spicy. In the mouth it's medium bodied and a little bit dextrinous, and gently crisp with a fine-bubbled, moderate carbonation. This is currently listed on beeradvocate.com as a New England IPA but it's certainly not that, and on untappd.com as an American IPA. Technically it is an American IPA as it's made in the U.S., and there do appear to be some American hops in it, but this is not generally what you'd expect of an American IPA. It's not really what you'd expect of an English IPA either so I don't know what it is. I'll just call it unique, and quite pleasant to drink!
