Pours a semi hazy orange color. A moderately large foam head retains well.
From the crowler, I detect aromas of pine, grass and stone fruit. However, when I had it on draft at the brewery, a few days before, the aroma was much juicier and with notes of freshly squeezed citrus, including orange and grapefruit.
The taste overall is very much like a traditional West Coast IPA. It is juicy but dry with bright and pithy notes of grapefruit, orange, lime, peach, grass and pine. A moderately sweet cracker and biscuity malt base is balanced by assertive hops bitterness. The finish is dry with lingering bitterness.
Medium bodied with a mouthfeel that is smooth yet semi crisp. The carbonation is moderate and right on par.
Really well done West Coast IPA. It was pretty good from the crowler, however, it was fantastic on draught.

a neat ipa here, a little hazy, but this one isnt a trend follower, its a unique one as they go, not just dry hoppy, but unique and grainy too, not sweet at all, but like agricultural, possibly done with new york state ingredients, several of them were when we were in, but i cant recall the specifics on this. the balance is unique in that its very much an ipa, and its clearly dry hopped, but it also seems multigrain and interesting, a lot more going on here than is most of these, but nice and subtle and drinkable too. as interesting as it is on the grain side, i think it is weirdly bitter from the hops in the end, not quite as relaxed and bright as their rye one, and it lingers a bit long, even a touch hot on the tongue from the hops. i like it being kind of bold, but this doesnt quite stand out to me as much as the others in here. maybe some oats and wheat in the mix here, this has a lot of body but its mellow too, smooth, and very much dry in the finish. subtle pine and fruity white wine from the hops, good carbonation, and a long hoppy finish, lightly oily. cool recipe, i loved this place!
