Pours a very hazy beige like color, looking nearly like a slushie. A moderate head quickly dissipates but yields some lacing.
The nose displays notes of tropical fruit including mango, papaya and stone fruit notes of peach. Aromas then become more citrusy with notes of orange and lemon. Furthermore, the nose on the malt emits a honey and biscuity sweetness.
The taste is dynamic as it takes on different stages. It opens with soft tropical fruit including mango, papaya and passion fruit. It opens juicy but not particularly sweet as there is a touch of dryness amidst a creamy and biscuity malt backbone, no perceptible bitterness. Then, assertive herbal spices evoke notes of grass, pine and chive, bringing forth developing bitterness. Finally, the drink turns bright and citrusy with notes of grapefruit rind, orange pith, lemon and lime. The finish is smooth with a resiny bitterness.
Medium bodied with a smooth and frothy mouthfeel. The carbonation is moderate.
Well done NEIPA that really grew on me.
