On tap at Strong Rope Brewery, Brooklyn, NY.
Pours a clear golden amber color. A modest head soon dissipates.
The aroma is deliciously smoky. It is redolent of BBQ with notes of apple wood.
The taste is also smoky with notes of apple wood and sweet BBQ sauce. The malt base is bready, chewy and caramelized with a touch of earthy hops bitterness. The finish is smooth, sweet and smoky.
Medium bodied and smooth. The carbonation is moderate.
Nice example of a smoked ale. Very flavorful.
