SRM 5-7. This beer has a cloudy, golden/amber appearance. A big, fluffy head has a pale, yellowish white appearance and lasts several minutes before depositing patchy lace on a pint glass.
The aroma is soapy all the way through, ranging from strong to harsh, then settling back at a mild level. Cherries and vanilla are a light touch and both seem artificial. White bread is also apparent.
The flavor is faithful to the nose and fairly sweet, with bitterness out of proportion to the beer and for the style. Light tartness and acidity are unpleasant. The long finish is rather harsh and off-putting. The artificiality suggested by the nose is readily apparent in the flavor.
A medium body with scratchy nylon texture and high foaming carbonation. Alcohol seems higher than as labeled and is possibly amplified by the astringency and acidity found in the flavor.
This beer is a mess. Unfortunately, I bought a six-pack. However, the range between cans is a telling tale. This review is based on the four consumed shortly after purchase. The other two were allowed to age for a few months in the hopes that might help. Very sad news to report...aging was a misguided adventure.

Vanilla in the aftertaste lingers way too long.
