Named in honor of one of Buffalo’s most iconic buildings, The Richardson Olmstead Complex, that still stands on Buffalo’s North side after 140 years. This is a big, robust porter with strong dark malt flavors to match. Strong notes of coffee and chocolate finish well with a soft bitterness and dark fruits.

Poured into a shaker pint glass: color is solid dark brown, head is light tan, head presents 1 finger thick, then dissipates to ring along glass side.
Smell is roast and chocolate, limited malt sweetness, some coffee like roastiness along with light smoke, no real hop character.
Taste is similarly strong in roast and chocolate, more malt sweetness than aroma but still more roasted and bitter chocolate flavor; coffee like roasted character with a burned sugar or smokiness; mild bitterness and earthy hop character.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness but drying quickly, bitterness is not overdone but has a bite from the roast/smoky dryness.
Overall an enticing porter on first sniff and taste but presents a little more bitter and less rounded than some others, could benefit from a touch of caramel malt sweetness and/or more prominent hop character.

Can purchased and drink at 42 North Brewing Company in East Aurora, NY.
This one pours a dark-ish brown color, with tinges of black, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This is mostly roast and some dark chocolate, with a touch of coffee-like flavor, and maybe even some vanilla.
This is a pretty solid little no-frills porter. It's mostly roast on the palate, with a touch of dark chocolate and maybe some dark breadiness and a hint of smoke.
This is light bodied, creamy, slightly thin, with a good drinkability.
This is solid if a bit unspectacular.

Poured into a pint glass, soft dark brown color almost black with a cap of a white head. Sly lacing. The aroma blended some dark fruits to coffee beans, somewhat roasty and sweet. Subtle milk chocolate. The flavor blends the roast to the sweet adequately through the prior mentioned aromas. Subtle blend of the aftertaste rolls into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, pretty good porter slightly of an English styled one and worthy of having again.

Came in a standard pint a deep dark chocolate brown with a thick creamy beige head atop.Coffee roast and chocolate stood out most in the nose.A full creamy feel really stands out,I would have thought it was a nitro pour if I had not watched the bartender pour it,very lush.Flavors are that of a mocha chocolate malt, not overly sweet just thick and creamy with that malted milk 'whopper" like flavor with roast underneath. My first try from this brewery and it was fantastic.
