On tap at Rollhouse North Olmsted into pint glass. Pours fairly hazy deep ruby brown color, with minimal head or lacing on the glass. This was great. Aromas and flavors of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread crust, toasted oats, nuttiness, wood, pepper, pine; lt smoke, char, cocoa, toffee, cinnamon, yeast earth. Lt med pine/herbal/woody bitterness on the finish. Medium carb and body. Fairly crisp clean finishing. Balanced creamy bready malts and sticky resinous hop mouthfeel. Minimal warming 5.8%. Traditional tasting English brown with a bit of spice from hops.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance - The beer is served a deep brown color with a tiny head of off-white foam. The head fades very fast, leaving but a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is very roasty, with notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Along with these smells are aromas of oatmeal and caramel, as well as some brown sugar and toffee.
Taste – The taste begins with a roasted malt taste with a nice oatmeal backing. At the start, there is just a bit of caramel sweetness, but as the taste advances flavors of vanilla, brown sugar, molasses, and milk choclate begins surging. These sweeter tastes begin to take over the roastiness and the oatmeal, getting very intense toward the end. With a touch of crème and notes of cinnimon coming in at the very end, one is left with a very sweet brown sugar/caramel taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium with a carbonation level that was medium as well. A slightly thicker body would have been better for the style, but overall it was OK.
Overall – A decent brown ale overall. A bit overly sweet, but fun to try none the less.

Thanks to bstoos for this one. 16oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a solid, no translucence, brown color with a thin cap of tan head that dissipated quickly and left no lacing.
The aroma had sweet malts at the front, but I didn't really get the cinnamon or raisin mentioned on the can. Pretty similar on the tongue, but I did get a little kick of cinnamon, especially at the back.
The body was smooth and even, and had a semi-sweet finish. Drinkability was good, I knocked back my can with no issues, and I would have another pint if I saw it on-tap near me. Overall, a pretty nice brew, worth a shot if you see it.

Excellent beer. Lacks the feel of an ale of this flavor but overall a delicious beer.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy light brown color with some transparency to it. Mild foamy head leaves some sliding messy lace. The aroma had some sweet and roasty nuts, good caramel/toffee malts, some dark fruits, and mild toast/biscuits. The flavor leaned towards the sweet side of blending the previously mentioned aromas. Roast is underneath. Sweet blend in the aftertaste. Malty rich finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body. Mild carbonation. ABV felt fine. Malts lend to some stickiness but not cloying. Overall, good as a brown ale but didn’t necessarily come out as an oatmeal cookie to me. Maybe again.

6 oz sample served on tap at the Griffon Gastropub in Niagara Falls, NY. Review from notes back in October.
Appearance- dark brown, a little hazy and small ringlets of lace stick to the glass.
Smell - oatmeal cookies with some chocolate thrown in. Not sure how they did it, but well executed.
Taste - oatmeal cookie again with raisin and chocolate. Again still not sure how they did this. Less sweetness and just a bit of earthiness to give a reasonably well rounded taste.
Mouthfeel - smooth, but reasonably light bodied. Higher than average carbonation.
Overall - never had a beer quite like this, certainly worth a sample and the parallels to oatmeal cookies are rather striking,
