Collaboration with Beer Tree Brew Co. (w/ Aurora Brew Works)
To celebrate 42 North bringing our liquid east, our friends at Beer Tree Brew Co. sailed west, for a very special collaboration that included our hometown beer-slinging pal, Aurora Brew Works.
This is a Rum Runner Cocktail-inspired fruited gose, featuring an addition of lactose, for a balanced tartness.
Pineapple | Blackberry | Banana | Coconut | Tangerine | Key Lime | Blood Orange | Cara Cara Orange

Canned 4/6/21. Gifted to me by a co-worker. Thanks, Ivy! :)
Murky orangish-pink, with quickly-dissipating light white head.
Smell is mostly lime, with brief hints of pineapple, banana, and a vague tropical fruit mix. I do get a hint of blackberry and coconut from the open can. Slight "fresh ocean breeze" " aroma , typical of the style . (Malt + salt). Glass : 4.0, Can : 4.5 - split the difference : 4.25 .
Taste is orange,Key Lime , coconut, blackberry, and a flavor I don't quite recognize. Cara Cara Orange? Pineapple , modified or partially hidden by all the other additions? There is a slight herbal flavor towards finish, and lingering afterwards. Michigan Copper hops? (As Beer Tree is wont to do. ;) ) Very slight saltiness after finish.
Feel is medium, juicy, with light very fine carbonation bite. Slightly drying finish .
Overall enjoyable, though I wish the Key Lime flavor was a little less prominent . (I do love Key Limes, btw. :) ) That may be due to age. ??? That minor point aside, I like it, and would have it again.
