On tap at Pour Taproom in Buffalo, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like smoke, licorice, and roasted malt.
This is definitely pretty thin, and kind of boring. This style tends to lean thin anyway, but this is especially thin for the style. There's your typical roasted and smoky malt character here, maybe some chocolate, but there isn't much to this.
This is light bodied, slightly creamy, and reasonably drinkable.
I've liked other 42 North beers better than this one - it just feels like not enough.
