Very nice Brown ale! Drank this one straight from the can. Nice aromas of cocoa powder, almonds and slight coffee grounds. Big flavors of nutty malt, cocoa, with a little bit of char on the finish. Medium feel. Worth having more than once.

Poured into mug, the appearance was a dark brown color with a thick foamy eggshell white two finger head. Sturdy clingy lace. The aroma had a ton of roasted malts bold and up front with milk chocolate and a light coffee backbone. Some hazelnuttiness (is that a word?, well, I just made it up) even lighter. The flavor leads with the balance of roast to sweet flowing in between each other. Sly nutty aftertaste rubbing against the finish, which was somewhat smooth but nice. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. Nice smooth feel along my tongue, still, some abrasive graininess seems to brush against my tongue as well, if anything really nice balance. Overall, now that’s a really great brown ale, makes me want to move back to Michigan.

Short Review. This is good, it's just what I look for in a brown ale and nothing is out of place at all, it's got perfect balanced too. It's one of the best browns that I've had in a long time and it made for a great first impression for this new Brewery. I would see this out if you really like Brown Ales.
