Brewed with lactose sugar and 1200 pounds of tangerine puree finished with additions of Madagascar Vanilla Beans. This beer has creamy like character that plays into the juicy characters of the New England IPA. A very drinkable combination of fruit, vanilla, and hops.

This is the second beer I’ve had from Austin’s smoothie series. I really enjoyed this one as I did the last. It is smooth and creamy, juicy and fruity, and hoppy and bitter all in perfect unison.

A: The beer is hazy and a bit pale yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of tangerines are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by flavors of tangerines along with hints of vanilla. The vanilla becomes a bit stronger, but only after the beer finally warms up.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and rather juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer only had hints of vanilla so I would say it was more of an IPA than a Milkshake IPA.

Very nice Milkshake IPA. Served on tap at the pub in a shaker pint. Creamy yellow color with a cap of solid foam. Aroma is pure fruit: juicy Tangerine, citrus, and a touch tropical. Flavor is big on the Tangerine upfront and then settles into a fruity Creamsicle. Full feel.

32 ounce howler into tulip glass, filled on 5/18/2019. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky of white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, tangerine, vanilla, lactose, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness; and citrus tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, tangerine, vanilla, lactose, and bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/acidic/tangy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.2%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited milkshake NEIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, tangerine, vanilla, lactose, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/tart/tangy/drying finish; great soft feel. Feels like mostly Citra. Super juicy hops/fruit, with light dank/earthy notes; and an awesome balanced lactose, vanilla, and wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazingly spot on style example as expected.
