We start with our standard New England IPA recipe and then add Vanilla and Oranges, which plays nicely with the creamy mouthfeel of the beer. A very drinkable combination of fruit, vanilla, and hops.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 2/18/2020. Pours very hazy/murky deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with solid retention, that reduces to a minimal spotty lace cap that lingers. Minimal spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice/pulp, white grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, pepper, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of orange, vanilla, lactose, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice/pulp, white grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, pepper, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and slight citrus tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice/pulp, white grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, pepper, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of orange, vanilla, lactose, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Slight lingering resins/rinds and acids after the finish. Minimal warming alcohol for 6%, or lingering hop burn after the finish. Overall this is an excellent milkshake NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of orange, vanilla, lactose, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; great soft/silky feel for the style. Feels like all Citra hops. Extremely juicy/vibrant hops/fruit, with light dank/earthy notes; with a nice sized lactose and wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected of the brewery.

Pours a murky orange color with bits of what looks pulp floating in it. Minimal head that disappears quickly. Smells like orange soda. Tastes like orange juice with a kick. Good mouth feel; slightly bitter finish.
