A 8 hour boil to push the ABV to 15%, we threw all of the sweets we could find into the kettle: Maple Syrup, Maple Donuts, Caramel Syrup, Caramel Candy Bars, Chocolate Syrup, and Chocolate Caramel Ice Cream! Do we have your attention yet? Finished with Cacao Nibs and Vanilla Bean, this monster stout is sneaky smooth.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a half finger dark khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, maple and dry caramel; a bit boozy. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, maple, vanilla, dry caramel and a touch of cocoa. Cocoa and maple in the finish with light hop bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Lots of flavors in this pastry stout, maybe a bit too busy. The maple is the dominant and a standout with some pleasant dry caramel and vanilla but just a touch of cocoa. Enjoyable, but would be a bit better if is concentrated on a few flavors. Big 15% ABV well covered.

12oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, a few brown bubbles that fade to a thin ring. Maple dominates the aroma, sweet. Caramel makes an appearance in the taste, coupling with the sweet maple for a sugary pastry vibe.
