Sampled in of all places, the Nashville Airport.
Aroma: Floral notes based on a malt back
Appearance: Deep brown color with good clarity when back-lit
Flavor: A porter like taste with a metallic twang at the end. The metallic experience faded after a beer or two, probably more to do with me than the beer.
Mouthfeel: Light medium body
Overall Impression: A watery porter taste and no real nutty flavor experienced. All in all, not a bad thirst quencher, but not an inspiring brew either. Not a bad effort.

Minimal tan head that quickly faded sits atop a deep brown ale with mohagony highlights.
Aroma of chocolatey malt and cocoa are dominant with earthy hops underneath.
Big, bittersweet chocolate and cocoa flavor. Hint of nut and very lightly roasty. Earthy hops for balance only as the malt is dominant in this one.
Good mouthfeel and drinkability.
Overall, a solid brown ale and much cleaner and more enjoyable than the pilsner I had from Bohannon.
Big thanks to AKSmokedPorter for sharing this hard to find TN beer!

Dark brown color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is nutty, malty and VERY sweet. A light to medium bodied Nut Brown Ale. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. A little thin and watery tasting, and it finishes a little harsh. Not a bad beer, but really nothing special. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet

Tawny deep chestnut with a light haze. Persistent one fingered tan head leaves respectable lace. Soft, grainy biscuit and mild carob in aroma, bolstered by stately caramel and earthy hops. Clean and homely aromawise. Incipient brush of smooth, woody, dried date sweetness roughens slightly into a stony, yet pleasant combination of burnt toffee and browned butter. Hop bitterness is paltry, with the dominant contrast to residual sweetness provided by a surprisingly pronounced roasted grain and dark lovibond caramel malt presence. Hint of plummish tartness surfaces late along with a snap of balmy powered cocoa. Very lightly bodied, with a lanky, insubstantial mouthfeel only two notches above watery, unfortunately. Finishes mostly clean, with an abrupt snap of underripe citrus and chocolate. Bohannon has the elements of a good brown, but they are disparate. Agreeably roasty in character, but there's not quite enough to back that up. A cleanly crafted and relative tasty brew nonetheless.

Pours with a serious white head that stays, leaving a bunch of lace. Light to medium carbonation. Clear amber color, nose is nutty. A distinct hoppy but slightly bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Doesn't do much for me, the nut browns from England are better.

Had a bottle at the Rainforest Cafe at Opry Mills in Nashville. Pours a dark brown with a medium tan head. Light lacing. Aroma is very nutty, with some malt as well. Medium bodied and with a decent blend of nuts, malt and hops flavors. Finish is nutty and lightly sweet. Pretty good.

This brew pours an orange-hued brown with a thin off-white head. The smell is all malt, caramel and munich are evident with a touch of chocolate. Unfortunately the smell is the best thing about this beer. The taste is mostly light caramel malt with a some herbal hops lingering in the background. Sadly a trace of cardboard taste, the hallmark of oxidation, comes in on the finish; not enough to ruin the beer, but enough to drop its score a couple of pegs. My experience with the draught version of this brew was much better, very fresh and richer overall.

An odd beer. The first I poured fairly hard, but not that hard. The beer produced a massive head like marshmallow fluff, and seemed to expend all carbonation in the process, leaving the brew quite flat and thin. The next bottle was poured with more care, and the beer produced an average head and actually had some carbonation.
Beautiful mohogany color. Wonderful aroma of chocolate malt. The first sip echoes the chocolate malt, but then the malt slips into a bland, slightly oxidized/carboard flavor and finishes a little thin and astringent. Blah.

Medium brown color with white head. Good head retention with lace coming down the glass. Malty aroma, complex malty flavor with a good burst of hops at the end. Very balanced and drinkable. Definitely a session beer.
