Great session beer. Tried a few days ago while in the seeming beer waste land of Nashville. Swung by the brewery after a posting on BA.
Poured a hazy copper with a mixture of odors on the nose. The sweet maltiness is grounded with some faint earthy flavor. One of the best well rounded APAs I've had in a bit. Lost my notes, but definitely enjoyed a few.

Faintly hazy, pale gold in hue with a slight tawny influence, it is much lighter in color than many Pale Ales. A foamy head of an inch in height topped the beer off ideally. The head retention was fair; it faded to a bubbly residue in a few seconds. The subsequent lacing was minimal and hardly noteworthy. The nose doesnt say much. The label on the bottle proclaims English style, which in this case is a euphemism for not very hoppy, especially in the scent. There is a dull orangey fruitiness that is the prevailing feature of the bouquet. The maltiness is not aromatic and an obvious failure for an EPA. The lack of a bouquet is disappointing; what weak aromas are present are not offensive but they are not inviting either. It is apathetic. Just like the nose the palate is not hoppy nor are the hops very tasty. This only reconfirms my belief on the usage of the term, English style. The hops are dull and lifeless with only weak notes of citrus and faint hints of earthiness. The citrus seamlessly blends with a fruity marmalade. That is nice. The bland maltiness is mixed well with the soft earthiness. That is nice too. Yet there is not much flavor complexity or excitement going on. This is a very simple tasting Pale Ale. It is an easy and uneventful quaff, a perfect lawnmower beer. The carbonation was low but not unnatural, medium/medium-light in body, the mouthfeel was adequate. This beer is not worth seeking out. Regardless, I need to thank my beloved mom for hunting down a six-pack in Nashville and then lugging it back in an iced-down cooler. Thanks mom!

I was pleasantly surprised by this brew. I consider most of Market Street's beers to be pedestrian (aside from a solid Pilsner and Bock) but this one was very good. It's a bit lighter than most west coast Pale Ales, which is evidenced by its gold color but the aroma and flavor are a nice blend of PNW citric and English floral hops. Light bready malt provides balance but never overtakes the hops. It lacks the malt chewiness of bigger PAs but is highly drinkable as a result.

Had a bottle at the Rainforest Cafe at Opry Mills in Nashville. Pours a dark amber/gold with a medium thin light beige head. Nice hops aroma. Medium bodied and well-hopped, I thought this was an easy-drinking APA. There is a slight hint of malt as well. Finish is crisp and tart.

Very pleasant. Nice head, leaving well defined lace as the glass was emptied. Nicely hopped with reserved cascades used to good effect. Man, this is smooth - great potential for a session brew, I'll have to remember this one next time I swing through Nashville again.

Amber color with good head retention, lace climbs down the glass. Balance malt and hop flavor with a excellent hoppy aftertaste. Pleasant bitterness stays with you after the swallow. Drinkable and smooth. Very true to style. The best bottled Ale in Tennessee since New Knoxville Brewing.
