Picked up a 500ml bottle from the Appalachian Vintner 10-26-23 for $9.99. Presumably bottled in fall 2023, consumed 12-26-24.

Beer poured very slowly and gave a clear gold with a ginormous head that takes several minutes to settle down and sustain.

Nose is giving me herbal notes, mainly black pepper, and some light fruits.

Taste is exquisite! The malt base and yeast give a pilsner pear base, with some apple. Phenols give me a strong dose of black pepper. Finishes with a wee touch of sweetness that is appropriate for the style.

Mouthfeel is light bodied and uber refreshing and smooth.

Overall, this is a dynamite brew, so glad i decided to purchase!

This is basically Orval. It's a very well crafted delicious beer flavored beer. Belgian beer is sexy & this is really delicious beer.

Another excellent beer from this brewery. Purchased in Asheville in a bottle, poured into a tulip glass. Bright clear yellow color with a huge, creamy white ear and excellent curtain lacing. Fruity, spicy smell and taste. Sweet candied oranges along with a biting hoppy finish. Nice full feel. Really nice beer. Great with food.
