On draught at the CSBC taproom. Mahogany brown with a slight head and heavy lacing. Nose is chocolate and coffee. Taste follows the nose with a decent amount of bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonated. Very good brown ale but a little heavy on the coffe notes.

Dark brown ale that has a nice thin layer of foam. Smell is all coffee. Nothing special when compared to all the coffee ales out there. Taste is coffee that really has no special qualities. I'm a coffee lover, so I'm looking for high quality, gourmet coffee flavor. It's not there. It does however drink pretty well for a brown ale. Overall, I had heard really good hype on this brown ale and it didn't deliver. It's above average, just not memorable or anything to talk about.

On tap at the brewery. Deep brown, almost black. Nice khaki head. Smells of rich coffee. It’s a really nice coffee aroma. Coffee is kinda the only aroma. Tastes of very strong coffee again. A little chocolate malt lends some sweetness. Bitter coffee finish. Medium body. Oceana is very good coffee and the flavor translates very well in the beer.

Made with Oceana Coffee, a local roaster, this is one of the best Brown Ales I've had. Super drinkable. Wonderful coffee, milk chocolate malty flavor.
