On draught at the CSBC taproom. Dark brown with a ring of head and slight lacing. Smell is hops and chocolate with slight coffee notes. Taste follows the nose with resinous hops upfront with pineapple followed by chocolate malts and slight bitter coffee. Light mouth and lingering bitterness. Very enjoyable black ale that I would certainly drink again.

32 oz. crowler. Black with an ample khaki head. Smells of grapefruit hops. Lots of coffee and chocolate malt. Strong malty presence in the smell and the taste follows suit. Grapefruit hops up front. Kinda orangey too. Chocolate malt up front too, lends some sweetness. Turns to bitter coffee malt and bitter grapefruit hoppiness. Medium heavy. Enjoyable.
