On tap at the brewery. Black body. Smells of coconut, oak, vanilla, and some bourbon. Tastes of roasted malt, some sweetness, coffee, coconut. Bourbon is secondary but the oak flavor persists. Heavy without being too sweet. The best stout Civil Society has made so far. Good adjuncts but the stout itself seems to be very tasty as well.

A huge improvement over the base beer.

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Green Session. Aroma has sweet chocolate liquor, dark malts, whiskey and boozy notes. Taste is bittersweet and malty with chocolate, bitter cacao and bourbon. Dry finish, a bit astringent.

On tap at EBF in Boston, MA.
This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and no lacing.
This smells like booze soaked chocolate, coconut, big roasty coffee, and boozy bourbon.
This is a bit boozy, with strong roasty bitterness. The coffee flavor is killer, with a slight nutty hazelnut and coconut tone. There's some definite roasted malt, and oak, but not a ton of bourbon.
This is thick and chewy, with a lingering booziness on the finish. There's a lower level of carbonation.
I like King Gary Goes Bananas a bit better, but this is still a very fun beer.
