Poured a golden-orange body with minimal head and little lace. Aroma has some peppery orange hops along with some funk and earthiness. Dirty, earthy, vegetal taste that is almost metallic with some fuller-bodied hops that has notes of grapefruit alone with touches sugary maltiness and tropical fruits with dry finish.

If you run a brewery and need some extra cash, just make a hazy IPA. It also helps if you lace it with El Dorado and Galaxy hops, and if you push the alcohol to near imperial strength. Then the beer basically becomes a tropical flavored money clip.
And this is for sure home run for Civil Society as Money Clip pours a deep golden orange color and topping off with a creamy eggshell froth. Tropical leading in its scent, the beer also borrows some nuanced citrus, winey and herbal perfumes to suggest something of citronella and fresh grass clippings. A rounded biscuit-like sweetness comes with the common cereal sweetness and the first impressions on the early palate are malty and creamy.
As the malts settle down a bit, the hops begin to shine. With a pep of lemon, light grapefruit and hints of under ripened oranges providing a racy citrus start, its the stronger and much more succulent tropical fruits that leap into action with the boldness of passionfruit, papaya, mango and pineapple that pull from the Galaxy hops. As the citrusy contributions of El Dorado simmer underneath, there's a candied fruit flavor that keeps the fruit impressions rounded, bolder and lingering longer in taste. An herbal taste late is peppery, vinous and herbal with suggestions of hemp, verbena, tea and sassafras.
Medium bodied and borrowing a resinous taste from traditional IPA, this more hazy version finishes on the drier side of malty-dry with a spicier edge from both hops and gin-like alcohols. A medium long aftertaste allows the herbal hop bite to linger past the fruits and into a slightly earthy afterglow.

Released 5/8/20; drank 5/25/20 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big off-white head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Grapefruit, dry grass & mild sugar notes in the nose.
Sticky, medium mouthfeel.
Orange citrus, grapefruit & dry grass flavors; mild cream notes on the finish. As this warmed, booze heat emerged.
Above average but not a game changer.
