1.5 month old can.

Absolutely gorgeous for a 6.4% (hazy) IPA. Attractive orange-gold, fully opaque, extremely juicy and creamy looking. Outstanding head and lacing for the size.

Bright citrus, a little tropical fruit and berry, and a decent dose of resin on the nose. Grassy but only mildly dank, with just a tiny note of green onion (which I’ve liked very much in bigger Civil Society IPAs). Not a huge nose but given the ABV, quite well done.

Unfortunately that “punching above its weight” theme fades with the taste and feel. Pretty watered down flavor profile, with citrus zest and grapefruit pith at play, plus some grassy and crackery notes, but not much else. A mineral note, some mild floral hints, but pretty much just juicy (and dry) orange, lemon, lime, and grapefruit most of the way. Easy drinking, but not particularly interesting.

Feel is much thinner than the initial appearance suggested, and even thin for the ABV. Soft and slick with a little prickle from the significant carbonation, but it’s missing substance.

Canned 1/29/21.

L: Pours a hazy yellow, with a fluffy white head that shortens and becomes more creamy in appearance, but stays well. Some crazy looking lacing.

S: Grapefruit and not much else, but not bad.

T: More grapefruit, a less bitter middle with some tropical and citrus notes, and a slight bite at the finish.

F: A little prickly, in a good way. Well carbonated.

O: More grapefruit and bitterness than tropical softness, which is slightly unusual in NEIPAs that look like this. Interesting look and feel. Good, but less interesting, taste and aroma.

Looks Light Yellow Cloud, Smells of Grapefruit & Pine
Taste is Bitter Grapefruit, Creamy, Oat heavy.
Feel is Lighter than expected
Overall Very Session-able and on the lighter side with more butter than tropical.
