16 oz can poured into stemmed glass, received from @whyteboar in Bif 12.5
Two finger frothy white foam cap settles to a frothy pencil thick layer over a kale orange liquid with numerous active carbonation streams , some Kachmarik Ng’s
Fragrant citrus , tropical fruits , floral aromas, whiff of garlic
Taste is tropical fruits. Hint of garlic
Medium sudsing , semi dry finish
Good beer

16oz can received courtesy of FrankenMiller and his NBS mini-BIF 12.5 box. I think this is the last surviving beer from this box. I will now hold a moment of silence Okay, now that that's out of the way, a word about this beer: it appears to be a special edition of Fresh, brewed with (you guessed it) Lotus hops, a hop I am not familiar with. It it is not, however, a SmaSh beer. Citra hops were also used. I don't know about malts, but I'm guessing pilsener malt and wheat, and maybe some oats.
Poured into a shaker style pint glass, this was a very hazy, yellowish amber color, with a creamy and pillowy off-white head. Lots of lace.
I don't normally pick up on vegetable-like aromas in IPAs unless it's in a beer where something has gone drastically wrong. I'm not a supertaster (or supersniffer, in this case), but this beer has a mellow undercurrent similar to really restrained garlic. The biggest element to the nose is similar to tropical fruits like pineapple and mango. Theres's also a very faint floral scent. Everything smells really well balanced.
Topically fruity, with a mild, well-balanced sweetness up front. The sweetness makes me think of a really mellow, severely dialed down vanilla. That slightly garlicky element noted in the nose is just present in the fadeout, albeit almost imperceptibly.
Medium bodied, with an almost creamy mouthfeel.
I'm very pro-IPA, but I've not had a lot of IPAs that strike me as complex. This one does, and it's also delicious. I would hit this regularly if local. Thanks, Gene!

Very clean with some tropical meets onion and garlic notes. Light and airy body. Not overly astringent either. Solid.
