16 oz can from State Line. Pale straw color, small fizzy head. Sweet, milky aroma. Taste brings light fruity flavors, citrus, more milk sugar. Gentle tangy finish.

It pours a moderately hazy golden color; it isn't as turbid as some hazy IPAs. The aroma hits an appropriately dank note, though. Tangerine, grapefruit, mango, and melon coexist next to the intense grass and pine. The good qualities of Mosaic hops are captured without offering any of the sweet onion qualities some IPAs give off. I don't get much lactose from the nose; I get a lot more on the taste buds. It opens up with a nice amount of sugar, cream, and vanilla. It transforms around the second act into a dank, piny (but not bitter) IPA, and finishes with a sort of weed-meets-orange creamsicle note. It could have used a bit more tropical fruit like the aroma suggested, but I am really enjoying the sharp balance between different flavors that might seemingly clash otherwise. It has just textural crispness to go down the palate easily, yet more than enough softness to quell any potential harshness. As sweet as it initially comes across, it doesn't linger excessively on the tongue. Carbonation is low. I'm pretty darn happy with this one as an IPA aficionado, and yet...the lack of bitterness and sweet lactose qualities will make this pretty accessible to those who aren't familiar with the style (or even hate it altogether). My first Olde Mother brew, and it's impressive enough to make me want to seek out more from them.
3.91/5: Sweet yet dank, it's a damn fine hazyboi

Pours a hazy, olden color with a tight, white head that leaves little bits of lacing.
Smells of bright citrus and a bit of pine.
Tastes of the bright hops layered over a nice malt base. Hops lead off with notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and pineapple. Malts add in with some bread and syrupy sweetness. A bit of pine and some bitterness comes next. Finishes with the lingering hops.
Mouthfeel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation.
Overall, this is a solid IPA. Definitely hit all the right notes for the New England take on the style.
