Beautiful crisp golden color with an above average head for a Pilsner. Great slightly sour, almost hoppy Pilsner smell. The mouth feel is a bit soft and leaves something to be desired. I’ve had ciders that have a crisper mouth feel. Taste is fantastic and give you a hint of hops with the hint of bitterness coming on the aftertaste for a pleasant finish. Needs a touch more bite on a mouth feel to compliment the smell and taste.

Beautiful clear golden look. Crisp light taste. Nothing particularly special about it. Just a pleasure to dink.

This is an excellent pilsner, clean, crisp, flavorful. I would definitely buy again.

Poured from a can into a tall glass. Clear yellow color with a beautiful, long lasting head and good lacing. Pleasant, refreshing smell and taste. Grassy with a hint of lemon. Nice beer!

On tap at Mo's in Katy, TX. Look is very straight forward, slightly hazy medium gold, average white head. Smell is above average, slight bread, grass, malt, floral slightly spicy hops. It has a lot going on in tastes. A pilsner graininess with a slightly sweet quality, subtle floral hop notes, some spicy bitterness that washes away any lingering sweetness for a semi-dry finish. For those saying this misses the mark as a pilsner is a little confusing to me at least. It seems to be a blend of Czech and German styles that is very well done. If anything, it's slightly less hoppy than the German styles I like but it actually balances a little better. It would be a great beer to introduce a noob to craft beer and not scare them away back to the watery domestic crap we all used to drink.

This one pours a very cloudy golden color with a thick rich head that settles slowly leaving moderate lacing down the glass.

The nose is citrus and wet earth with some semi-sweet malty notes, camphor, fructose and black pepper.

The flavor is a dry malt bed with peppery notes, bitterness, bread, pine and a subtle fructose sweetness that is dry.

Overall this is an exceptional pilsner and a real pleasure to drink. Back Pew is new to the scene but they are making one helluva entrance with some exceptional offerings just like this one.
