A traditional style Kolsch, finished with a whole lot of fresh grapefruit juice. Very refreshing.

This beer is a golden pink and murky in the glass. A tall, one and a half inch, fine, off-white head quickly dissipates, leaving a ring and occasional spots of lace.
The aroma is a balance of light sweetness against socks. There is a hint of grapefruit, followed by apricot. Both are very subtle.
The grapefruit is very light and more similar to tropical flavors like papaya. The bitter/sweet balance follows here, again, rather light. There is no sourness against a slight, briny flavor. This Kolsch is dry, without any harshness. The finish is mild to faint.
There is no perception of alcohol in this medium to light bodied Kolsch. The texture is soft, as is the carbonation.
This beer is unpretentious and pleasant for kicking back and relaxing. It is refreshing, and an excellent choice for a late summer evening.
