This one pours a slightly murky dark brown color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This mainly smells like apple brandy on the nose, but not much else – maybe some other general sweetness.

The barrel on this quadrupel is definitely nice – there’s a spiced apple-ish sweetness here, some caramel, etc, but the base beer is very uninspiring. There are no real flaws, it’s just very light and the barrel kind of takes over.

This is medium bodied, a little bit boozy, and a little bit sweet.

I wanted to like this more – it needs a bit of tweaking.
