Comes in a 16 oz can. Pours hazy yellow with a small head. The smell of lemongrass and lime wafts up. The first sip is dry and citrusy, with some hops adding in. It stays dry and refreshing throughout. My idea of a Shandy, without the sweet.

A- Tallboy pours into the classic Duvel glass with a mostly clear pale golden yellow body and a fizzy white head. The cap dies out very quickly to just about nothing. Lacing just not happening here.

S- Mostly influenced by the hops and the bugs here with coriander seemingly missing from the aroma. The bugs bring some mustiness, funk and bready tones along with the lactic acid. Hops compliment this with grapefruit, slight dank and slight tropical hints.

T- Showcases a few main flavors with the fermentation and the Citra really in the spotlight. Grapefruit, lime zest and generally citrus forward hops atop a base of clean lactic acid, musty sour pale fruits and grainy bread. There is a generally herbal and citrus quality here but it does not scream coriander. A hint of juicy fruits like melon bubble gum seems to fade in and out in some sips.

MF- A light and somewhat thin body as it lacks a true substantial texture. HIgh level of the bubbles and a light tartness lingers in the finish.

Citra and a well fermented lactic sour are indeed a good combination. Castle Island has pulled it off here with the citrus, fruity hops accentuated by the lactic acid and grainy base. Appearance and mouthfeel a bit of a letdown but the important characteristics are just fine.

I normally don't get sours, nor do I review them so I'm going to keep this at about150 characters until I know more. Beginner level sour it seems. Easy but tasty.

Canned 9 weeks ago.

L -- Somewhat hazy yellow body with a three-finger head produced with well-aerated pour out of the can. Minimal retention or lacing.
S -- Citrus, must, bread, and a mild funky yeastiness.
T -- Very gose-like. Some floral hoppiness, but the predominant flavors are lemon, wheat, salt, and coriander
F -- Refreshing and quaffable. Medium+ carb and light mouthfeel. Minimal aftertaste
O -- The dry hopping works well and this beer stays fresh tasting for much longer than most brews of the same ilk. Price tag of ~$13/4-pack of 16oz cans is a little on the steep side given the ABV.

Pours hazy, straw yellow in color with ΒΌ inch head. Taste is lemon, straw, and a decent amount of tartness/sourness. Very light bodied, tart, with medium-high carbonation. Makes for a nice, light, and very pleasant sour ale. Not the most complex of beers, but certainly one I could see myself having several of, especially on a hot day. A good beer worth trying.

its not a bad beer by any measure. but it's also not sour. "slightly tart" is probably the best measure of sour that I could see it actually producing. nice hopping though.
