It looks like a blueberry smoothie. It smells like a pale ale. There’s no head except for rim bubbles. It still leaves a slippery ring of lace after each sip.
Nice peppery hop to the nose. Surprisingly, I do not pick up any berry.
This is a pale ale first with good malt base and black pepper hops. The sweetness comes from the blueberry. A smooth combination that I would order again. The body is fuller than most APAs. Appropriate carbonation. The finish becomes lightly tart with some hoppy bitterness. If you can get by the appearance, you’ll be drinking a very good beer.
