Really enjoyable offering from the folks at Mantra....
Blacker than black.... thin wispy head....
Smells exactly like chai latte...exactly....
Again...the flavors nail chai latte spot on... the body is a touch thinner than I would like but the flavors are dead on...really enjoyable stuff...I'd love to try it on tap...nitro would be awesome...
Recommended if you come across it... it's a tasty beverage

Japa has a very thin, tan head, a dark brown appearance, and a touch of glass lacing. The aroma is of spicy, brown bread crust, licorice, and sweet cream. The flavor is similar, and the body is medium and velvety. Japa finishes medium sweet.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Says drink fresh, but could not find a freshness date
Classic stout look, jet black with a large tan head leaving nice lacing.
The aroma is strongly of chai spices, but this is not unpleasant.
And the taste is strongly of the chai spices. The malt background is finely roasted. There is a nice creaminess but the the chai is the big story here, and it's a pleasant overall drink.
Mouth is just below medium, finish is the chai spice.
Overall, a different take on a milk stout and quite enjoyable.

On tap at Chauhan's Ale House and Masala (delicious food). Very savory aroma, mostly lactose and malts. The flavor was chocolate and lactose, the chai was very subtle. I was impressed.

Very interesting. Right off the bat I get the chai tea spices and it is a welcomed reprieve from hop dominance. Spicy and very flavorful. Brown ale or maybe a light stout underneath. I feel as though dried tea has been imparted into this. Very nice. Complex and delicious

Pours a black brown around the edges when held to the light. Head is small even with aggressive pour lighter brown with minimal lace.
Aroma is dark venous fruit notes with cinnamon, nutmeg jump out from a smooth dark roasted base. Some chocolate or sweet lactose free floating sugars mingled with hints of coffee.
Taste is mostly spice cinnamon, nutmeg and peppery not sure what Chai spice is but just a tad warm more just spicy flavors. Good milk stout base to hold the spices. Personally I am enjoying this brew seems like a good choice for winter weather.seems thicker then 6% maybe it's because my bottle says ABV is 7.8%
Mouthfeel is solid approaching full carbonation middle of the road.
Overall I will be having this one again an enjoyable Milk Stout with just the right amount of kick.

Excellent example of using beer as a canvass for other flavors

Blackout dark, sweet, roasted with a cinnamon aftertaste. Smooth and rich on the tongue. Tasty, but the cinnamon isn't for me.

As long as you like chai and stouts, you will love this beer. Big fan, abv of 7.8% is hidden well amongst the spices. Very smooth and refreshing. Easily drinkable stout and very well priced for high gravity craft beer.
Highly Recommended

This is a weird one but very drinkable ..
Almost reminds me of Indian food with the spice but its not so overpowering that its undrinkable..
Glad I tried it but wouldn't buy again.
