Dessert first, anyone?

This beer will always remind me of Summer 2006.
Always good, for a few glasses on a hot Summer day in Lake Havasu, this beer is explosive with a strong berry scent and flavor.

We ordered this on tap from the bar, but later took a growler to go and had close to exact results throughout the weekend.

Beer poured a light to medium brown nut color with a creamy white head. This beer can be smelled almost as it is being brought to you, but not in an overpowering way. The smell is calming and just sucks you in with relaxing tones of blue and red berries.

First taste had me wondering why I wasn't doing more chewing than drinking with this beers unique flavors that almost seem like a bowl of berries topped with cream.

The flavors are nice and mellow at first, but can sit quite heavily on the stomach, and would suggest the beer as a nightcap, or with a gap between drinking more or anything else.

Enjoyed at Barley Brothers Brewery and Restaurant in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

A: looks a murky yellowish brown with a little bit of head and very minimal lacing.

S: the smell is wonderful if you like rasberries, blueberries, or cranberries cause there is a lot of it, and I also get a hint of cherries.

T: The tase is really fruity for a wheat beer but at the time I was really in to fruit beer so it was a grest refreashing treat in the middle of the desert. The berries really come thru on this one.

M: The beer had light carbonation cause my inlaws brought back from AZ so it sat for the trip and a couple days till I shared it at a tasting with a couple friends.

d: This is one of my favorite beers on trips to the lake and will always be excited to get more to quench my thirst in the hot sun. Great summer brew.

A: Incredibly cloudy golden brown color with a frothy white head.

S: The name is very appropriate. Sweet berry aromas, especially the raspberries and blueberries. There might be a hint of the cranberries with a slight tartness.

T: The berries give an almost candy-like blended berry flavor, but I actually find it to be fairly enjoyable. Like the aroma, the raspberries and blueberries are the most pronounced.

M: Medium body with fairly moderate carbonation, considering the probably carbonation loss in transit from AZ to CA.

D: I found the berry sweetness to be enjoyable, but it is something that is tough to drink a lot of (for me, anyway).

Enjoyed on-tap at the Barley Brothers brew-pub on several occassions over my week-long stay in Lake Havasu City for Spring Break.

Pours a murky brownish-gold with s finger or two of snow-white head and good lacing. Nose is explosively fruity, like Bubbleyum gum, with cranberry, raspberry and blueberry with a funky chocolatey finish. Taste was a fantastic surprise - an elegantly subdued version of the nose. Balanced between sweet and tart berry juices with blueberry being the most prominant with a yeasty, caramel/chocolatey toasted wheat backbone. Mouthfeel is lighter and slicker than he murky pour would suggest. This is a deliciously refreshing berry-wiezen, expertly balanced, and a must try along with one of their delicious wood-fired pizzas.
