From notes, on-tap at the brewpub in Lake Havasu over Spring Break.
Pours a hazy, translucent straw yellow under a finger or two of soapy foam.
Nose is wheaty malt, banana fruit and peppery citrus.
Taste follows the nose in its hefe-like qualities - sweet banana, coriander and clove with a musty yeastiness.
Body is medium, a little slick and a little harshly carbonated.
Not like any saison I've had, much more wit or hef characteristics than anything else. Still a tasty-enough ale on a hot day.
