I'm finding the Martin family influence many times over the last few years. I see that he (Anthony)? has children now in the business... perhaps explaining the plethora. I also like how the Martin style plays up to history and they picked one of the pivotal moments of the 19th Century Continent... and the UK making the world safe for progress. Anyhow, they developed a nice website for their Waterloo theme. For all that they do, I give the Martin's very good Overall Hugs.

For the Waterloo Tripel, it Looks appetising and keeps its foam and protein swirls well enough. Smells are yeast and Autumn tree fruit, some hops in the back. Tastes are balanced, but I get a peppery yeasty finish that takes more getting used to. Medium-mouthed.

Copenhagen 10/9 2019. 33 cl bottle from Lidl, Lygten, Kbh NV. Little Chubby bottle. Charging Military on horses in red uniform and with Bearskins and sabres on the label.

Pours clear yellow with a big white head. Bubbly. Settles as 1,5 cm layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate Lacing.

Aroma is intense, sweet and fruity with a light touch of humid basement. Banana, caramel, sugar, honey. Light touch of metal.

Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly more moderate Bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter sweet with a light overweight to the bitterness. Lingers forva while.

Quite middle of the Road Triple - but a solid specimen.

Pours a hazy golden color with a big top of white head that dissolves quickly.
Aroma is of apples, some peaches, bisquits, spices and herbal hops.
The taste is dry with some fruity notes allong with some herbal and grassy hop notes. Finish i kind of bitter, could have been a little more ballanced.
Smooth and clean mouthfeel with a medium carbonation and a medium body.
A decent and easy drinking triple.

March 2011: 330 ml stubby bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Very pale straw coloured beer, huge white head. Nice aroma of grassy and herbal hops (Saaz and Spalt), also some mildly spicy notes. Refreshing flavour, light bodied for its strength, some sweetness but not too much. Some herbal notes, the hops are noticeable. Easy drinking.
