Served in a 16oz stemmed goblet. Poured an opaque orange color, typical of the brews I call American Orange Ales, but generally referred to as "New England" IPAs. The beer had about an inch of bright white head that dissipated moderately and left no lacing on the glass.
A very light grain scent was at the base of the beer, with citrus hop scents (mostly orange and lemon) being the most notable. Pretty similar taste profile. While the hop flavors were bright at first, they faded quickly. As is typical of the style, the finish of the beer was minimal, a few moments after having a quaff, there was no evidence left of it's passing.
The body was medium, smooth, and clean. Drinkability was pretty good, my pint was gone quickly enough. Overall, this new "style" isn't my cup of hops, in general, but this is a pretty take on the format. Worth trying if you see it.
