Poured from the 32 oz growler purchased at the brewery. Color is a beautiful rosy purple-tinged amber but the foam did not last long in the tall goblet. Substantial body., but somehow watery on the tongue. Fruity and tangy aroma.
At first sip you wouldn't confuse this with any other IPA. Fairly malty with a bitter edge. The astringency of berry seeds provides a nice counterpoint to the slightly sweet grain taste. Deeply fruity though berries don't come to mind, particularly. Overall this is quite drinkable and pleasing with some hoppy aromatics at the finish.

Made with Skagit County Blackberries from Viva farms. Served in 16oz stemmed goblet. Poured a pink/purple/Amber color, with less than an inch of purplish head that dissipated quickly, and left no lacing.
There was very low malt on the nose, and the blackberries were very earthy smelling. A soft hop profile featured a light lemon scent. Hops were a bit brighter on the tongue, with the berries being reminiscent of grape must. There was a lemony citrus finish.
The body was the typical light-medium of these new style IPAs. Drinkability was pretty good, you could knock off a couple easily enough. Overall, a pleasant brew that's worth trying if you see it.
