can into glass
Lovely, thick, ivory head that leaves a laced coating on the glass, as the tall head recedes.
Very thick and murky, medium & bright orange, with a bit of a tiny golden yellow highlight at the edge of the glass, for the appearance. Really ample, with a touch of sweetness, aroma of malted tangerine, orange peel, with a little juice thrown in, and a nearly honeyed, medium toasted, really caramelized malt. Really in ones face, sharp, tangerine peel, bite that overloads the taste, up front. Since it's a double, there is a really noticeable, medium toast malt flavor in behind the bite and the malt gives it a pretty nice mouthfeel, below the hop assault. The malt is not enough to balance it out though. Score would have easily higher with a little more balanced approach to the hop to malt ratio, more malt please.
